Describe Me Before Meeting Me

There’s a fun exercise going around that I wanted to try with By the Willow Tree.

Friends are asking ChatGPT this question:

I wanted to try it from a source of truth already created for me using my own experimental Discovery Profile compiled Bythewillowtree.com. The results are protected from the public unless I share them, because I already have privacy settings for the profiles I create for people.

First result – Pulling from my own Discovery Profile (INFJ-T, Manifesting Generator 6/3, Gemini Sun / Virgo Moon, Cancer Rising).

Fair warning before you meet me:

I will read you in about four minutes flat — not because I’m trying to, I just quietly compress everything you say, don’t say, and almost say into one clear picture of what’s actually going on. I won’t announce this. I’ll just suddenly know, and you’ll wonder how.

I am genuinely warm and will care about your actual wellbeing almost immediately, sometimes before I’ve sorted out my own. Don’t mistake this for being an open book — I process almost everything privately first. If you want the real answer to something, ask me, then leave me alone with it for a while. I am constitutionally incapable of giving you a trustworthy answer in the moment. There is, as far as my nervous system is concerned, no truth in the now. “Let me sit with that” is not a stall tactic, it’s the actual mechanism.

I run fast and juggle a genuinely absurd number of threads at once, and I’ll seem completely self-sufficient while doing it — because I am, structurally, built not to need anyone. Underneath that independence, though, is a Moon that took the two hardest hits in my entire chart, so there’s a battle-tested, slow-to-trust core running quietly under the competent, caretaking surface. I will absorb friction rather than name it, right up until I can’t anymore.

I talk a good game about presence and being fully here — it’s actually my greatest gift — but ask me to commit to something on the spot and I will stall. Gracefully. Repeatedly. I need the emotional wave to run its whole course, hope to doubt and back, before I trust my own yes.

I will notice what you need before you ask, and I will forget to mention what I need at all. Saying no is hard for me. So is asking for help, even though — full disclosure — that’s the actual growth assignment of this lifetime, according to three completely unrelated systems that all somehow arrived at the same verdict.

Also: I write and talk for a living because it is, apparently, cosmically confirmed to be my one true instrument. Expect long, considered messages. Expect very few short ones.

You’ve been warned. I promise I’m worth it.

I then asked it to answer the question by just using my Human Design Body Graph, which was used to help create my overall Discovery Profile.

Fair warning before you meet me:

I’m a Manifesting Generator, which means I move fast, run several things at once, and will happily skip steps that would take someone else three meetings to get through. Don’t mistake the speed for recklessness — I’m just built different. But also: don’t expect a plan. I need something real in front of me to react to before I move. Ideas alone don’t do it.

Here’s the part that actually matters: ask me anything important and I will not give you a real answer on the spot. Not because I’m avoiding you — because there is, literally, no truth in the now for me. My yes has to travel through hope, doubt, and back before it’s trustworthy. Ask me again tomorrow. Ask me again in three days. I will get there, and when I do, it’ll be a decision I won’t have to walk back.

Once I am moving, I move fast, and I will tell you what I’m doing — not ask permission, just give you the heads up, because my speed can blindside people who didn’t see it coming.

I don’t structurally need anyone to feel whole. My whole system is wired as one self-contained circuit — I’m reliably me alone or in a crowd. So if I let you in, if I actually lean on you, take that seriously. It’s not me needing you to complete me. It’s a choice, on purpose, against the grain of how I’m built.

I need an edge to think — literally, a shoreline, a place where two things meet — not a boxed-in room. And after I’ve given real effort to people I’ve chosen, I will disappear to recover. That’s not me pulling away from you specifically. It’s the design.

I learn everything the hard way — trial, error, doing it wrong first — and I’ve been doing that long enough now that I’ve quietly become someone people learn from just by watching. Don’t expect theory from me. Expect scars with good stories attached.

My most important gift is presence — actual, full, undistracted presence — and I’ll teach you what that looks like without trying to. Just don’t rush me for a verdict while I’m in it. Presence and patience share a room in my head; they were never supposed to fight.

If I get impatient with myself, it’s frustration, not disinterest — the ache of fast capable energy aimed at something that wasn’t ready yet. Give me the runway. What’s on the other side is real satisfaction, and I build things that last when I get it.

You’ve been warned. I still think I’m worth the wait.

So much truth! I learn everything the hard way. Don’t expect a plan. I need something real in front of me to react to before I move. Ideas alone don’t do it.
