Example Myers Briggs
Your Psychological Blueprint.
Myers-Briggs sees how your mind processes the world. This chapter is the patient, written version — not a four-letter sentence, but a portrait. Below is a sample taken from an INFJ Profile.
A working definition
INFJ is the rarest of the sixteen — about one in fifty people, and among those, women slightly more often than men. The four letters are a shorthand, not a verdict: Introverted, iNtuitive, Feeling, Judging. What that actually means in your day-to-day is more interesting than the acronym suggests.
Your dominant mental function is something called introverted intuition — a pattern-finding faculty that runs largely below the surface of your awareness. You don’t reason your way to conclusions. You arrive at them, then spend the next hour figuring out how. This is why your hunches feel so persuasive to you and so unaccountable to other people.
Excerpt
“INFJs are often described as old souls — a phrase we’ll mostly avoid here. The accurate version: you’ve been quietly metabolising other people’s emotions since you were small, and the result is a kind of premature gravity.”

Where this type tires
Your auxiliary function is extraverted feeling: an antenna for the emotional weather of the room. It’s genuinely a gift, and it’s also the thing that exhausts you the fastest. You don’t choose to read people; you read them, and then you can’t unread. A long meeting with three difficult personalities will cost you more than the same hours alone with a hard book.
The patterns to watch for:
- Quiet over-functioning. Doing the emotional labour of a group without anyone noticing — including you.
- Premature certainty. Your intuition is usually right; it isn’t always right. Hold conclusions loosely.
- Vision-fatigue. Long stretches of unspoken inner ideals can leave you brittle. The work is to make some of them external — write them down, tell someone, prototype.
The aim is never to compress you into the four letters. It’s the opposite — to use the four letters as the start of a longer, more accurate sentence about you.
