Children’s profiles: consent & privacy

A profile for a child is something I take extra care with. This page explains what I ask for, how I use it, and how I protect the information — and it’s where a parent or guardian gives consent before we begin.

How I handle your child’s information

What I ask for

To create the profile I will request your child’s first name, a nickname, (or initials, if you prefer), and their birth date, birth time, and birth place. I ask only for what’s needed — nothing more.

Why I ask for it

The birth date, time, and place are needed to calculate the Human Design chart and the astrology chart. A birth name is NOT REQUIRED. A name is used only to personalize the finished profile so it feels like it’s truly about your child.

How an AI tool is involved

I use an AI service, called Claude, to help write the profile. To protect your child’s identity, I send only the chart details to that service — without your child’s full name attached. The AI service does not receive your contact details.

How long I keep it

I don’t keep your child’s profile or birth details after the finished profile is delivered to you. I remove the information I used once your profile is sent. The AI service I use keeps inputs only briefly under its own privacy terms, and I don’t allow your data to be used to train AI models.

Who I share it with

I never sell your or your child’s information.

Your choices

You’re in control. At any time you can ask me to show you where I obtain the Human Design and Birth Charts. You can also email me charts that you have already had done. I can most likely use them. To withdraw your consent — just email profile@bythewillowtree.com. If you withdraw consent before a profile is delivered, I will stop and delete what I’ve collected.
